Mr. Falling asked:
If someone put my name on the deed for their home within the past three years, and I’m looking to buy my own home for the first time, am I considered a first time home buyer?
I’m not on the loan.

May depend if you are also on the loan. If you are, that will look like your first home.

no.
find out why they did that. IT might be against your better interests.
if it was family trying to give you an estate interest, that could be good
but it wold also make you liable for taxes.

A first time buyer is exactly what it says. You could be on 100 home titles and never be a first time buyer. A first time home buyer is someone that has there first home loan period.
Best of luck
