blog for first time home buyers

How do you find out and qualify for the first time home buyer program through HUD?

Maria Gallercia asked:

I want to know about the first time home buyer grant assistance program where the federal government finance the down payment. Thank you in advance.

Our bank was happy to find out if we were eligible. Give a bank a try. If they have half a chance, they want to try to get you to finance your home through them, so they want to make you as happy as they can.

You can contact a HUD broker or check out the HUD.gov website.

Also, check to see what programs are offered in your state to see if you qualify for downpayment or closing costs grants/assistance.

Check out the sites below to learn more. Good luck!
