first time home buyer – owner loan

blog for first time home buyers

What kind of benefits can a first time home buyer receive?

4 Time Champ asked:

Especially the way the economy is. I know the prices are down, but is there special programs available to 1st time home buyers?
I live in Texas if that matters.

Thanks

Beth

Not only are prices down but so are interest rates. In addition there is the new tax credit of up to $8000.00 which does not have to be repaid.
Is that what you are looking for?

The new $8000 tax credit is huge. That is a credit and not a deduction. As long as you haven’t purchased a home within the last 3 years, then you are eligible for the credit.

    Good luck with the purchase!
